new songs

i've heard a couple new songs... one a phil collins cover, and another one that john previewed on the end last sunday. i thought the phil collins cover was...uhm, hilarious, although i don't know that that's how it was meant... anyone hear anything about a new album ?

    all i've heard is that mr. gibbard is busy with death cab so they're not really working very hard to put a new album out.

    Nothing on a new full length. However, I've been waiting on this Sillouettes single to be released. It was originally slated to hit the streets back in October. It got pushed back a few times and the latest release date I've seen is Feb 8th.

      Finally, the "We Will Become Silhouettes" CDS is out. And it does not contain the Phil Collins cover (seems that's only available via download). The 4 track single contains the original title track and a Matthew Dear (?) version that is very slow and rather forgetable. Also, Styrofoam remixes Nothing Better, which is pretty good. The only new material is a track called "Be Still My Heart". It's about on par with the full-length tracks, but I wouldn't expect it to become your new favorite track or anything.

        i heard the phil collins cover again out at a bar the other night and though, yeah... postal service is tres cool ! also i heard that at the tsunami benefit show ben covered thriller and apparently it was a tear jerker... think of the words, and apparently he played it really slow. rad.

          That cover is called against all odds. I downloaded it from Soulseek. If anyone wants it...let me know and i will see what I can do. So they put out a new album yes??? What songs are on it???

            It is from the Wicker Park Soundtrack...that also has some Death Cab stuff, and a bunch of other good bands
